As an avid boater and sportsman raised in the San Joaquin Delta, I found the lack of information on the Delta was limited and difficult to find. So I created SacDelta.com, which grew from this need.

At the end of 1995, I purchased a 1975 Ski Nautique at a good price because it had a bad engine. I preferred this because I wanted to rebuild it so I would know it was reliable. I restored the boat by mending the cracked fiberglass, replacing the wiring and gauges, and putting in new carpeting. The new gauges made the steering wheel look outdated, so I replaced that also (another $60 I didn't want to spend). A new addition in 1996 was a 400-watt CD stereo system. Before summer of 1999 I added rear speakers so people in back can hear the good tunes. I do most of my boating in the Sacramento Delta, so for convenience I store and launch it at Beacon Harbor on Bethel Island.

I was an owner of a 1990 Ford Taurus SHO. After putting on 285,832 miles on it (it paid for itself), I donated it to Cars for Sight and bought a new 2003 Nissan Altima SE thinking that the Nissan would be similar in handling. I'm now thinking about trading this in for a Mustang.

I love my kitty (who past away on April 23, 2005) and enjoy the outdoors, exploring new places and the following toys below. Here are some additional camping pictures.
